Comments: Wondeful guest book. I was with the 271ASHC/361TC DET May68-April69 At Can Tho. I enjoy this information on the Guns-A-Go-Go ships. This was a great time in military history. I actually wish they would make a movie about these ships and brave crews. I would hate to think that people think the concept of an Attack Helicopter was just thought of. To those men that served on those ships my hat goes off and a salute goes to them. To my fellow Chinook crew and mechanics welcome back.

See the part of this web site intitled "What ever happened to your old ship" CK TAIL NO 66-19063. I believe there is a strong chance that you were the one I heard survied, the only one. It also said the flight engineer and chrew chief jumped, because the fire was to intense. The flight engineer was Tony Housh, may have his name miss spelled. I saw his name on THE WALL. Glad your alive Brother.

Comments: A couple of months ago I stumbled onto the 228th and Guns website. I came to the 228th Dec. 1966 and joined the 1st Avn. Det. Guns-A-Go-Go around June of that year. Since becoming aware of this website, I have corresponded with several former members of the Guns. For the first time in over 30 years! This website is something else! Then if this website isn't enough, I find out that '49 or Easy Money, the last gunship, is being rebuilt at Ft. Eustis, Virginia!!! A friend of mine, who also lives in Colorado, Dave Borrego, also gunned on the Go-Gos. We have always wondered what happened to '49 after the unit was broken up with the destruction of Birth Control '54 at Hue, and now to find that it is being restored, is almost overwhelming. I have said this many times, since finding this website and I will say it many, many times again probably. I don't know how we will ever repay Jim Ketcham and Frank White for their efforts on the websites. I have a question for anyone who was with "A" Company of the 228th in 1967. Do you have any information on the whereabouts of Bob Krieger? I lost track of him sometime during our tour. We went to boot camp, Huey school and Chinook school at the same time. Dave K.
